Botulinum toxin A, or Botox for short, is a processed and purified substance that has long been used in aesthetic dermatology, especially for the treatment of wrinkles.
The substance is injected directly into overactive muscles to relax the muscles and tighten the skin. The dynamism of the facial muscles is directly related to the wrinkles that appear in them. Before the treatment
You should not wear makeup before coming to the clinic; if you have it, of course, you will get a good clean face. To minimize the possibility of bruising at the injection site, please:
– It is best not to use aspirin or products containing aspirin 10 days before the treatment.
– Avoid alcohol 24 hours before the treatment.
– Discuss with your doctor any predisposition to bleeding you may have and any medications you are taking.
The duration of this treatment is approximately 15 minutes. Most patients compare the sensation of the injections to that of being bitten by insects. In addition to the burning sensation, you may feel a slight discomfort.
You may notice a slight swelling at the injection site and a slight burning sensation.
